my climping room in the main house was full of character. i saw a refurbished large bathroom with a slipper bath and a large walk in shower. the spa had sunbeds around the outdoor pool. i found a lovely area in the gardens to have lunch.
my four poster room was in one of the cottages. i had to walk to the restaurant. i had to wear flat shoes because of the cobbles. the meals were expensive.

the room was a bit disappointing. i found cobwebs in the bathroom corners and a toe nail clipping on the bedroom carpet. the staff did not leave an extra roll of toilet paper, i had to ask. also the replacement never arrived, quite annoying.

the grounds were kept very well. i liked how much they care for it. supper had choices for vegetarians! the staff, they were warm and helpful.
the windows were narrow. this retrofitted medieval window made the room dark. it needed lighting always. the breakfast didn't have a big choice.

I discovered the Classic Double Room was spacious. The bathroom had Molton Brown toiletries. I found the restaurant provided several gluten-free options on its menu.
My room faced the courtyard, though the noise from deliveries started quite early.
